Hi Sabres parents and coaches,

Please see the attached document and calendar outlining plans for the newly implemented Regional League for 2026. In summary the VJBL have split their competitions into three tiers:

VC
VJL
Regional League

Nothing changes from an SBA perspective as far as the number of teams we enter in the competitions. It is more that the teams we enter may play in a competition that is slightly different = less travel/different name/branding.

As an example of the change, if we compare teams in 2025 to where they would be in 2026.

U12.6 Sabres Boys graded in VJL 7 for 2025 season - in 2026 they would play in Regional League
U12.7 Sabres Boys graded in VJL 9 for 2025 season - in 2026 they would play in Regional League
All of our 7 x Under 12 Girls teams that graded in VC and VJL in 2025, would play VC and VJL in 2026
U14.6 Boys graded in VJL9 for 2025 season, in 2026 they would play Regional League.
U14.7 Boys graded in VJL11 for 2025 season, in 2026 they would play Regional League.
